About Us

Ellie Fund was founded in loving memory of Eleanor “Ellie” Popkin, who passed away in 1987 after a courageous 15-year battle with metastatic breast cancer. Her strength, compassion, and resilience continue to inspire our mission to ease the journey of patients and families facing breast cancer today.

Each year, the Ellie Fund Red Carpet Gala brings our community together for an unforgettable evening of celebration, purpose, and hope. Funds raised through this signature event provide critical, free support services for breast cancer patients undergoing treatment across Massachusetts-including grocery assistance, nutritious meal delivery, transportation to medical appointments, childcare reimbursement, housekeeping, and integrative therapy services, free of charge. 

Together, we celebrate Ellie’s legacy and 30 years of making a difference-making sure every patient has the help they need to focus on healing.
