About Us

The Ellie Fund was founded in memory of Eleanor “Ellie” Popkin, who passed away in 1987 at the age of 49 after a courageous 15+ year battle with metastatic breast cancer.

Each year, the organization hosts the Red Carpet Gala to raise funds to provide free day-to-day support services for breast cancer patients undergoing treatment in Massachusetts. Services include groceries, delivery of healthy meals, childcare reimbursement, transportation to medical appointments, and other personalized services to relieve the stresses of treatment.
